Program Approval Process

 

      The following is a tool that can be adopted and/or adapted when developing new CTE

            Programs at your college. This information was developed by Dr. Lyla Eddington and  

            the VTEA Advisory Committee at Rio Hondo College (2002).

·    New CTE Program Development Checklist

·    New Certificate Program Workplan and Instructions

·    Copy of New Program Implementation Budget Sheets

·    New Program Development PowerPoint Presentation

 

Program Approval Forms

Examples:

*Please note the absolute DEADLINE for program applications to be submitted for the agenda is TWO weeks prior to the meeting date. It is preferred they be sent prior to this deadline to ensure sufficient review time but they can be sent on that deadline date at the latest. Once applications are submitted electronically they are reviewed by the Chair of the LA/OC Regional Consortium and then forwarded to the LOWDL Deans for review. The LOWDL Deans requested they have at least two weeks to review the applications prior to voting on them.
